so happy to be home....

I am back in Anchorage.... not quite sure if my feet have found the ground yet... they are floating down slowly back home and settling in.   School was incredibly amazing and really hard at the same time.  SO fulfilling to work and to live and learn the medicine of five element acupuncture daily!   I am grateful to be finished with school, working toward completing my national board exams so I can get licensed to practice soon!   Until then, I will be working at head to toe holistic healthcare doing medical massage where I can bill insurance as well as at body mechanics.

The old laughing bones is still here... and still giggling... but to make room for new growth we are inviting in the playful bluebirds...  healing begins with the balancing of body, mind and spirit...   at Bluebird Healing Arts.

much love,

new location

I am excited to announce a new home for Laughing Bones Massage!  It feels good to come home again to working for myself and still be able to work collaboratively with Naturopaths and Acupuncturists at a shared clinic location!   That space is being held by the lovely staff at Head to Toe Holistic Healthcare.   The massage area is just delightfully spacious, warm and inviting!  Come by to say HI and book a massage!   We accept insurance and have a great cash rate for those without therapeutic massage benefits.  You can also find us on Facebook.

See you soon!

what's in a name?

The idea for the name Laughing Bones came to me one day while giving a massage.  I thought, what an amazing community we could create if everyone that wasn't living life to the fullest because of pain - turned that physical discomfort into pain free movement?  I imagined a dancing skeleton - grinning white teeth and all - moving to the rhythm of a drum and enjoying every moment.

Our bones are the deepest part of our physical and energetic being.  In studying Mana Lomi I learned that our bones store our Mana, our life force, also known as qi (pronounced "chi") in Chinese Medicine.  By releasing tight and painful muscles that are hindering our free movement - we regain the ability to dance around like the goofy skeletons we are and enjoy life again.  We can all experience Laughing Bones.
